Akilah Byron-Nisbett
Constituency #3

My Contract with the people of Constituency #3

Two short years ago you elected me for five years to deliver a secure future for you and our community. That time was cut short. I ask for your support to help me finish the job.

Since you put your trust in me, I have been working hard to deliver for you. From fixing the water issues in Trinity Heights and the unsanitary conditions for the residents of Lime Kiln and Buckleys, to beginning the development of La Guerite North and starting the major upgrades to JNF and the Cardin Home.

Together we are making a good start, but there is so much more to do. I want you to keep me to my word. Keep Akilah delivering for you. Keep me accountable to you. That’s why I’ve signed my contract, so we can keep delivering a secure future for our community.

  • My contract with you will grow our economy: by expanding agriculture and developing a facility at Palmetto Point for our fishers and by transforming my office into a community hub for training and classes.
  • My contract with you will protect the people: by providing a mentorship programme for students, completing the upgrades to JNF, the Cardin Home and continuing to fight for more homes and better roads.
  • My contract with you will create more local jobs: by providing a mentorship programme for students, completing the upgrades to JNF and the Cardin Home. I will further build out the road infrastructure in Trinity Heights, Shadwell West and the East West Farm Development, whilst resurfacing roads in Buckleys, Lime Kiln, Trafalgar and Camps.

I can deliver on this contract because the PLP, under the economic leadership of Dr. Timothy Harris, has proven that we can secure the economy under any circumstances. With a global recession predicted, we can’t afford to risk the gains we have made. We cannot place our country’s future in the hands of inexperienced or absent leadership.

We have to keep moving forward. On August 5th vote for Akilah Byron-Nisbett in number 3.
